Gweek

The Snug, GweekJust a short walk from the centre of the village where the local pub and post office is to be found, The Snug Bed & Breakfast is very much a place that keeps the demands and preferences of the 21st century traveller in mind (the fact that there are espresso machines in every room goes some way towards proving this point).

Offering 12 guest rooms in all, this modern property very much prides itself on being a “home from home” – and given that it is seemingly held in great esteem by former visitors, there’s no suggestion that such a claim is mere hyperbole.

The Snug also benefits from a great location for those wishing to explore both the Helford River area and the far west of Cornwall. Helston (the second oldest town in Cornwall) is just a few miles away, while St. Ives, Penzance and attractions such as St Michael’s Mount are within easy reach by car. Moreover, it also affords easy access to the far south and places such as Lizard Point and Kynance Cove.

There are also plenty of things to do right on the doorstep, with the National Seal Sanctuary just a gentle stroll away. The Trelowarren estate is also within just a couple of miles.

Dining options are also in plentiful supply in the surrounding area, and the owners are more than happy to provide guests with their own personal recommendations.
