Gweek
Right at the heart of the village of Gweek, The Black Swan is a traditional inn offering four double en suite rooms.
Obviously, being a pub the place has its own bar (no surprises there), and also features its own restaurant. Real ale aficionados will also find plenty of local varieties on offer, including Betty Stoggs and Doom Bar.
The rooms are named after their respective colour schemes, and include Mulberry, Gooseberry, Blackberry and Raspberry. All look out onto the village.
The Seal Sanctuary is but a short walk away, and is renowned for its care and rehabilitation of marine mammals (it also features penguins and otters, and has some splendid underwater viewing enclosures which includes one for Sea Lions).
Helston is nearby, as is the Royal Naval Air Station at Culdrose. Falmouth and Penzance are also within easy reach by car.
Other local attractions include the Trelowarren Estate (recently used for the Kylie Minogue video Flower) and the celebrated gardens of Glendurgan and Trebah.
The Atlantic coast is also close by, including the beaches at Gunwalloe and Loe Bar.
