Glamping Pods
Trecombe Lakes glamping

Recently created, Trecombe Lakes offers unique self catering accommodation in delightful rural surroundings between the villages of Mawnan Smith and Constantine.

Trecombe Lakes glamping

Comprised of several ‘pods’, it falls very much within the “glamping” category and also boasts notable eco credentials: all units are made from sustainable materials and each is highly insulated, making them both cool in the heat of summer and cosy during autumn and winter.

The site itself is set within 9 acres of woodlands and grounds, and features a number of spring fed lakes (complete with rowing boats). Indeed, this is very much a child-friendly place to stay, and youngsters will no doubt appreciate the natural adventure playground.

Each pod has its own decked area (with seating), a Webber barbecue, and a fire pit. The interiors contain a kitchen, shower room, a double bed and two single beds. Meanwhile, the new lodge house provides a small communal area (complete with washing machine), and a TV link to bird and bat box cameras.

Both Mawnan Smith and Constantine feature village shops and pubs, while the Ferryboat Inn, Trengilly Wartha Inn, and Cove Restaurant are all within easy reach by car. Falmouth itself is less than five miles away and is where attractions such as The National Maritime Museum Cornwall and Pendennis Castle are located.

Anyone seeking escapism in a truly ancient Cornish landscape ought to consider Trecombe – there is a small Bronze Age standing stone in a nearby field and surrounding enclosures are known to have been inhabited in the Neolithic.
