Mawnan Smith

Goldmartin Bed and Breakfast

With regret, Goldmartin is no longer offering accommodation.

It’s only a short level walk of a couple of hundred yards to the centre of Mawnan Smith from this popular little B&B. Run by Allan and Claire for several years, Goldmartin dates back largely to 1729 and is certainly one of the village’s oldest surviving properties.

It offers a double room and double / twin, while there’s also a single room that can be let in conjunction with a double room booking.

Breakfast is served in the conservatory which overlooks the garden (vegetarians are happily catered for), and guests also have use of a living room.

The village and surrounding area offer several dining options for those staying at Goldmartin. Both the Red Lion Inn and Giuseppe’s Italian restaurant are just a gentle stroll away, while the Ferryboat Inn at Helford Passage and renowned Cove Restaurant at Maenporth are a short drive (or a more time-consuming amble) from the property.

Goldmartin B&B offers discounts for seven night stays, but doesn’t accept guests who are attending weddings. Regrettably, they cannot accommodate pets, and the house and gardens are considered unsuitable for children under the age of ten years.

For those on a walking holiday, pick-up, drop-off and bag transfer facilities are available.
