Bareppa Dairy in Mawnan Smith

Situated on the edge of the village on the lane towards neighbouring Budock Water, Bareppa Dairy is a recently-completed barn conversion (July 2011).

Offering 2 bedrooms, much of the living space of the property is open-plan, and features a woodburning stove for those who choose to stay during the cooler months of the year.

The centre of Mawnan Smith is a few minutes walk away and boasts several shops. These include a general stores / post office, hairdressers and a hardware store. Here one also finds the Red Lion Inn (a fine thatched building of considerable age) and an Italian restaurant.

While this is certainly a good base from which to discover much of western Cornwall, there are several notable attractions within just a few miles of Bareppa Cottage. Close by are a number of internationally-renowned gardens such as Glendurgan and Trebah, while Falmouth boasts the National Maritime Museum Cornwall and Pendennis Castle.

Anyone seeking to spend time close to the sea is also spoilt for choice. A walk down nearby “Fine and Brave” lane takes one to the sandy cove at Maenporth, or there are numerous small secluded coves to be explored at the mouth of the river - Porth Sawsen, Grebe Beach and Prisk Cove among them.
