Jemima Cottage, near Helford

Together with ‘Buzzard Barn’ which also offers self-catering accommodation for up to 4, Jemima Cottage is a converted 19th century barn and part of Tregidden Farm.

One of the more ‘outlying’ places to stay that’s listed on Helford Hotels, its location is undoubtedly more rural than waterside. That said, the middle and upper reaches of the river are still relatively close by and it provides a good option for those who are seeking to discover as much of the south shores as possible. Both St. Martin and Manaccan are less than a couple of miles away, while St. Keverne and Coverack are just a short drive away, too.

Jemima Cottage has two bedrooms (one double and one twin), while its main living area is formed by an pen plan dining and living room. It lies within approximately 14 acres of farmland and woods.

Although many of the surrounding villages possess good general stores’, those wishing to stock up on provisions at a supermarket will need to travel to Helston (around 10 miles to the west). Meanwhile, anyone keen upon eating out will find plenty of rural inns within a few miles, and there are popular restaurants such as Nansloe Manor and The Witchball in and around Helston.

Lizard Point and Kynance Cove are less than half an hour away by car, too.
