Larger families seeking an “off the beaten track” holiday rental in the Helford River area might well find this 17th century cottage to their liking.
Located between the village of Manaccan and exquisite Gillan Creek, those who stay here for the first time would be advised to take the nearby path down to the water (and further along the lane to St. Anthony and its splendid church if weather and legs permit). To do so will undoubtedly confirm that this is one of the most unsullied places in the whole of the United Kingdom.
Little Roscaddon Cottage itself is situated at the end of a private lane and possesses a south facing garden perfect for warm summer days. It also boasts an acre of its own woodland from which there are delightful views of Gillan Creek, while those who prefer to be on the water rather than merely looking at it will appreciate the cottage’s canoes and inflatable rowing boat.
Dining options are available in Manaccan itself, while the Shipwrights Arms at Helford is a short drive (or reasonably long walk) away.
Little Roscaddon would also suit two families holidaying together on account that the upstairs and downstairs are both completely self contained, yet linked by staircase.
