Sleeps up to 6. No dogs

View from House at Maenporth

Set over two storeys, this particular property is one of a row built to benefit from views across the sandy cove to Falmouth Bay - a body of water upon which there’s always something to see: yachts in fine weather and big ships seeking shelter from Atlantic south-westerly’s when the winds blow.

Set on the Maenporth Estate, the property is able to sleep up to 6 people via a double room (with sea views), a twin, and a bunk room. It’s also a comparatively modern given that the majority of holiday lets in the Helford River area are buildings that pre-date the 20th century.

Maenporth itself is particularly well-served and makes an ideal base for families. There’s a beach cafe during daytime and it’s also home to one of Cornwall’s most lauded restaurants, The Cove. Moreover, given the fact that it faces east, it’s invariably one of Cornwall’s more sheltered beaches.

While nearby Mawnan Smith has several shops (including a Post Office) there are plenty of well-known retailers both in and around Falmouth (just ten minutes away by car): Marks & Spencer, Boots, and most ‘high street’ banks are within the town itself, while supermarkets such as Sainsbury’s, ASDA and Lidl are also to be found within a few miles. And the place is full of small, independent specialist retailers, too.
