Chynoweth B&B

Mawnan Smith

Chynoweth Bed and BreakfastSituated on the edge of Mawnan Smith and tucked away down Carwinion Lane, Chynoweth offers guests exclusive use of two rooms (one double and one twin) on the first floor of the house.

Owned by Sally and Stuart Annan, this popular bed & breakfast is but a few minutes walk from the centre of the village, where one will find a post office & general stores as well as the thatched Red Lion Inn and the splendid little Cornish Maid cafe.

In addition to the local pub, there are other dining options nearby including an Italian restaurant within Mawnan Smith itself, and The Cove bar and restaurant at nearby Maenporth (walkable for the keenest of ramblers, but more practical by car).

Indeed, those who like to take in scenery on foot will find that Chynoweth is well-situated for what the immediate area has to offer. Just a few yards from the front door is the footpath down to Porth Sawsen (sometimes called Porth Saxon) close to the mouth of the Helford, while a circular walk taking in the Old Church and Durgan is also highly recommended.
